We had a great day yesterday with Mrs. Wilson and Mr. Lovett’s 3rd grade classrooms from Woodland Elementary. They visited the Andrews Farm for the annual Pheasants in the Classroom release day. We have been doing this 3rd grade program since 2011, minus last year due to covid-19. While there they learned more about pheasants in general, the habitat they live in and their food source. Taylor Gillette also used his birddog Hank to demonstrate how they are used during hunting. Students also had the opportunity release some pheasant in the sorghum fields. Before leaving everyone was treated to Cider and Doughnuts. Special Thanks to Fox Township Sportsman’s Club for donating the pheasants we used for this program.
