Last evening we took our annual elk viewing trek to Benezette with CCHS Outdoor Club. First stop was Bucktail overlook (aka Top of the World). We made stops at the viewing areas in Hicks Run and Winslow Hill, before our final destination the Elk Country Visitor Center. The Staff at the Visitor Center has always been very accommodating to us when we visit. However, last evening we were given the VIP treatment. When the sun was setting and elk were starting to enter the fields we were treated with a more than awesome wagon ride where we saw several cow elk and a few dandy bulls up close and personal. As darkness was closing in we enjoyed a pizza from Benezette Hotel donated by CCOYA. What a memory maker and Thank you all at the Elk Country Visitor Center!
